WATCH THAT BACKLASH
The BBC reports:
Good. After all, the number of Muslims slain helplessly in all the "backlashes" that have taken place in western societies following the likes of just the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, bombings at various times in Europe, the hijacking of a French aircraft in 1994, and of course following September 11, 2001, March 11, 2004, and also in the aftermath of the killing of a Dutch film director in broad daylight? Too high even to begin to count them.
So there are obviously precedents which warrant concern about Londoners suddenly going rabid -- and possibly even by sometime this afternoon, and if not, then definitely before Sunday night.
And as Laban Tall had forewarned us:

Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Inayat Bunglawala called on worshippers to pray for victims at Friday prayers.
Leaders from around the UK's Muslim communities will gather in London to discuss what to do next.
Church leaders are already working with Muslim organisations to ensure their congregations are united against any possible anti-Islamic backlash. . .

. . . Naturally the first thought of the Government will be for extra vigilance - against the danger of Islamophobia. We would not want to see a repetition of the ghastly attacks which took place in the days after 9/11. . .
