AN UNEXPECTED HONOR
Remember that flag photo, which Bob at "Going Down Range" had emailed to me?
Well, he has now supplied me the promised further information about its particular meaning, when today I received the best slightly late 4th of July "present" I've ever received in my entire life: He sent that very flag to me by snail mail, along with a nice note informing me that back on June 5 that flag . . .
Hey, Bob, for once I can't think of anything to blabber on about. I'm speechless. The only thing that suddenly comes to mind is this: "Thanks" is NOT, will NEVER be, has NO HOPE of ever being, a strong enough word.

. . . was flown on a flag pole that rises through a hole that was blasted by a Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Bomb in a building that U.S. forces refer to as the Taliban Last Stand (TLS) building . . . for nine minutes and eleven seconds. . .
