DEMOCRATS! UGH!
You are probably surprised to know that I am technically a registered Democrat. However, I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that most Democrats quietly believe that the current crop of candidates for president is, frankly, how shall I say it, umm, lacking something. And as for the Democratic leadership in Congress -- Tom Daschle and Nancy Pelosi -- well, the less said the better.
Remember when a Democratic president thought and spoke this way?
If any leading Democrat said anything like that on "Face The Nation," I think most of us out here would faint. For today, we get the likes of Howard Dean, Dennis Kucinich, and the ridiculous Al Sharpton, all having the nerve to run for president as Democrats.
Where have you gone, F.D.R.?

Day and night I pray for the restoration of peace in this mad world of ours. It is not necessary that I, the president, ask the American people to pray in behalf of such a cause -- for I know you are praying with me.
